Our History

Our organization was born from personal experience when both Darcy and her mother faced breast cancer diagnoses in 2023. During their treatment journeys, they discovered how many specialized items were needed—and how many barely-used items accumulated as treatment protocols varied. After completing treatment in early 2025, Darcy shared her vision on social media and quickly received donations of goods from women eager to help others. We officially incorporated as a nonprofit in 2025, dedicated to collecting and redistributing essential breast cancer treatment items like mastectomy bras, compression garments, and comfort clothing.

Today, we bridge the gap between those who have completed their journey and those just beginning, ensuring no one faces treatment without these vital comfort items.

Our Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors generously donates their time, expertise, and passion to support The Pink Exchange’s mission of helping women through their breast cancer journey, all having their first-hand experience with living though breast cancer treatment. Their volunteer leadership ensures that our organization remains community-driven, transparent, and focused on making a meaningful impact—every decision guided by compassion and commitment.

President: Darcy Polsinelli

Darcy serves as a Product Owner for Data and Reporting at a local insurance company, bringing expertise in data analysis and process optimization.
Her passion for this organization stems from personal experience navigating breast cancer in 2023—first as a caregiver for her mother, then facing her own diagnosis of Invasive Lobular Carcinoma. Through this journey, she identified a critical need: women accumulating essential care items during treatment with no system for redistribution afterward.
This insight inspired Darcy's vision to create a sustainable network connecting women completing treatment with those just beginning, ensuring valuable resources reach those who need them most.
An avid outdoor enthusiast, Darcy enjoys mountain biking and spending time with family while working toward her goal of returning to long-distance running.
